AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN, a PIF company delivering global full-stack AI solutions, announced plans to establish a joint venture in Saudi Arabia. The initiative aims to position the Kingdom as a leading provider of world-class AI solutions for regional and global customers.

The joint venture is expected to begin operations in 2026. It will combine HUMAIN’s state-of-the-art data centers with AMD and Cisco technology. This collaboration will deliver modern data center capacity with efficient power and lower capital expenditures. AMD and Cisco will act as exclusive technology partners, contributing their portfolio of products and services. The venture plans to develop up to 1 GW of AI infrastructure by 2030.

The companies revealed the first phase of the project as a 100 MW AI infrastructure buildout. It will feature HUMAIN’s modern data centers, AMD Instinct™ MI450 Series GPUs, and Cisco’s critical infrastructure.

Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, stated that combining compute and networking technologies will expand the Kingdom’s AI ecosystem. AMD will also establish a Center of Excellence in Saudi Arabia to accelerate local innovation.

Chuck Robbins, Chair and CEO of Cisco, highlighted that the partnership will provide secure, scalable AI infrastructure to support Saudi Arabia’s vision for a digitally advanced, AI-powered economy.

Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, said the collaboration will bring up to 1 GW of high-performance, cost-efficient infrastructure online. This will empower innovators in the Kingdom and globally.

Cisco’s latest AI Readiness Index reported that 91% of Saudi organizations plan to deploy AI agents, but only 29% currently have robust GPU capacity. This underscores the urgent need for scalable AI infrastructure.

The joint venture is expected to strengthen the Kingdom’s digital economy, supporting goals to localize innovation, talent, and technology.
