Tenable (NASDAQ: TENB), the exposure management company, announced its participation at Black Hat MEA in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 2–4.

The company revealed that Co-CEO Mark Thurmond will deliver a keynote titled “Beyond the Silos: Exposure Management in a New Age of Risk.” Thurmond will discuss the need for a fundamental shift in cybersecurity strategy to address modern cyber threats, particularly those powered by weaponized AI.

The session will explore how the growing digital attack surface, fragmented security tools, and a rapidly evolving adversary have made traditional security models ineffective. Officials reported that the keynote will reference Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its investments in digital transformation and AI.

Key themes include:

  • Fragmented Defense: Enterprises often manage over 80 security tools, creating complexity and overwhelming security teams with tens of thousands of alerts daily.
  • AI Weaponization: Attackers are leveraging AI to develop hyper-realistic attacks in minutes, bypassing traditional defenses.
  • Exposure Management: Tenable advocates shifting from reactive measures to proactive strategies, providing unified visibility across cloud, IT, identity, and OT systems.

Thurmond stated, “The cybersecurity playbook of the past twenty years no longer works. Exposure management is essential in the age of AI to secure the digital economy.”
