Messe Frankfurt Middle East has announced the launch of Intersec Global during Intersec 2026, revealing a unified international brand that brings together security, safety, and resilience events under one global platform. Headquartered in Dubai, the initiative aligns with the UAE’s long-term national priorities and positions the city as a central hub for global security collaboration.

The announcement was made on 13 January at a press conference held at Intersec 2026. The session featured Eng. Arif AlJanahi, Security Consultant at SIRA, Lt. Col. Taher Hassan Al Taheri from the General Command of Dubai Civil Defence, and Eng. Khalid Al-Khatib, Chairman of NAFFCO. Together, they highlighted how Intersec Global represents the evolution of the event into a connected international ecosystem linking governments, regulators, industry stakeholders, and innovators worldwide.

According to Messe Frankfurt Middle East, Intersec Global will serve as the flagship platform connecting the global portfolio of Intersec events. These include Intersec Buenos Aires, Intersec Europe, Intersec Saudi Arabia, Intersec Shanghai, Secutech Taipei, Secutech India, Secutech Vietnam, Secutech Thailand, and the Adria Security Summit.

Ted Bloom, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, reported that the Intersec journey began nearly three decades ago in Dubai and has grown alongside the city’s transformation into a global centre for smart and safe technologies. He noted that Intersec Global reflects the platform’s existing international reach and its role in enabling collaboration across increasingly complex security and safety challenges.

The announcement further positions Dubai as the global anchor for dialogue and best-practice sharing across physical, digital, and human security domains. In addition, the scale of Intersec 2026 underscores its alignment with UAE priorities such as resilience, crisis preparedness, infrastructure protection, and future-ready regulation.

Key focus areas supported by Intersec Global include:

  • National security, law enforcement, and surveillance technologies
  • Cybersecurity, resilience, and digital protection
  • Fire safety, emergency response, and wellbeing solutions

Nathan Waugh, Portfolio Director for Security, Technology and Production at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said the Intersec Global brand signals a long-term commitment to uniting the industry around shared challenges and solutions. He added that insights generated in Dubai will inform discussions across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, while international innovations will feed back into the UAE event.

Intersec 2026, reported as the largest edition of the event to date, continues at Dubai World Trade Centre until 14 January.
