Keeta Drone has completed one year of commercial operations in Dubai, strengthening its role in the UAE’s urban drone delivery ecosystem. Since launching in December 2024 in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Keeta Drone has delivered numerous orders across Dubai Silicon Oasis and Nad Al Sheba.

The service offers residents a faster, safer, and more sustainable delivery alternative. The inaugural order was placed by Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai (RIT-Dubai). Over the past year, demand for drone-based delivery solutions in the UAE has shown significant growth.

A major milestone for Keeta Drone was securing Dubai’s first Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) commercial drone licence in late 2024. This marked an important step forward for the UAE’s drone ecosystem. Since then, Keeta Drone has expanded its delivery routes across the city. Its drones are engineered to operate reliably in Dubai’s desert conditions, including high winds, sand, and temperatures above 50°C.

According to Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Dubai plans to cover 30 per cent of the city with drone delivery services by 2026, expanding to 70 per cent within five years.

Keeta Drone also launched its standalone app, allowing customers to order food directly from local and international brands such as Halla Shawarma and Baskin-Robbins. More brands are expected to join the platform in 2026.

Junwei Yang, General Manager of Keeta Drone, said, “Completing one year of stable operations validates both our technology and our commitment to the region. We have worked closely with regulators and partners to secure approvals, rigorously test systems, and deliver a service customers can trust.”

To celebrate its anniversary, Keeta Drone rolled out community initiatives and hosted pop-ups across the city featuring interactive games and giveaways.

With one year of proven operations, Keeta Drone continues to support Dubai’s smart-city vision, driving innovation and shaping the future of last-mile logistics with rapid, sustainable urban drone delivery.
