Cisco has launched its Sovereign Critical Infrastructure (SCI) portfolio for customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Cisco EMEA announced the move to support organizations seeking greater control over their data and digital infrastructure.

The new portfolio addresses growing demand for innovation alongside enhanced data autonomy. It enables organizations to maintain control while advancing digital transformation efforts.

The SCI portfolio spans Cisco’s core product lines. These include networking, security, compute, collaboration, network management, AI, and Splunk. In addition, customers can configure and operate the solutions in air-gapped, on-premises physical environments.

Furthermore, SCI supports organizations at different stages of their digital sovereignty journey. Cisco stated that there is no single approach to sovereignty. Therefore, the portfolio offers flexibility to choose suitable models.

Organizations can opt for fully on-premises, air-gapped environments for maximum control. Alternatively, they can adopt hybrid approaches that combine sovereign infrastructure with cloud services.

By addressing priorities such as data control, operational autonomy, and reduced dependency, Cisco aims to strengthen resilience. At the same time, it allows organizations to retain choice and control over their infrastructure.

Gordon Thomson, President Cisco EMEA, said the portfolio reflects the company’s commitment to regional needs. He noted that sovereignty enables innovation while maintaining control and flexibility for businesses across the region.

Abdelilah Nejjari, Managing Director for Gulf and Levant at Cisco, highlighted strong demand in the UAE. He said organizations are seeking to accelerate innovation while maintaining tighter control over critical data, systems, and operations.

He added that this demand is increasing as AI, security, and infrastructure strategies become more interconnected. The SCI portfolio, he said, enables customers to build secure, controlled environments that support resilience, compliance, and long-term digital growth.

In addition, Cisco has expanded support through its Customer Experience (CX) organization. It now offers services for air-gapped, on-premises, and hybrid environments. This ensures customers receive the expertise required to operate sovereign infrastructure effectively.

Overall, Cisco stated that the portfolio will help organizations in the region build trusted and future-ready infrastructure. With this launch, Cisco EMEA continues to support digital sovereignty and secure innovation across critical sectors.
