His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri decree regarding the Sharjah Digital Department, adopting its general organisational structure.

The decree officially approves the general organisational structure of the Sharjah Digital Department as part of the emirate’s efforts to strengthen its digital governance framework.

Furthermore, the decree authorises the Sharjah Executive Council to issue resolutions for establishing the department’s detailed organisational structure. These resolutions will support the implementation of the decree and ensure the department operates according to its defined responsibilities.

In addition, the Executive Council will adopt the job descriptions for the organisational units within the department, ensuring that each unit’s responsibilities align with its assigned competencies.

The resolutions may also include the creation, merger, or abolition of organisational units operating under the departments listed in the general organisational structure, depending on operational and administrative requirements.

The adoption of the Sharjah Digital Department organisational structure provides the framework for future administrative decisions and implementation measures by the Sharjah Executive Council.
