Zain Jordan has partnered with Ericsson to launch the next phase of its Business Support Systems (BSS) transformation. The move deepens a long-standing partnership between the two companies. It also marks a major step in Zain Jordan’s digital transformation journey.

The project will prepare Zain Jordan’s IT infrastructure for the demands of the 5G era. It will also modernize digital service delivery for customers across the Kingdom. Furthermore, this new phase extends the collaboration to include the postpaid line of business. As a result, it will open new revenue streams across both prepaid and postpaid segments.

According to the companies, the agreement strengthens Ericsson’s role as a key partner in Zain Jordan’s efforts to build a flexible and scalable digital ecosystem. In addition, the modernization supports Jordan’s wider digital economy. It will allow Zain Jordan to offer more personalized digital services at scale.

The deal covers a comprehensive upgrade of Zain Jordan’s BSS architecture. First, it includes cloud-native billing. Ericsson Billing will be upgraded on Red Hat OpenShift within Zain Jordan’s private cloud. This will boost speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency, while supporting agile 5G monetization.

Next, the project involves real-time data insights. Ericsson’s Telco DataOps Platform will be deployed to enable real-time streaming. It will also support proactive customer experience management and network optimization. Additionally, it will lay the groundwork for AI-driven autonomous networks in the future.

Finally, the deal introduces a catalog-driven architecture. Catalog and order management will be added for postpaid products. This will enable faster launches of innovative offers going forward.
