The Packard Bell relaunch is official. At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Acer Group unveiled a full comeback for the historic brand, marking its 100th anniversary with a fresh identity and a new product lineup. The announcement came on September 2, 2026, and it signals a major shift in the brand’s direction.

A Century in the Making

Packard Bell was founded in 1926 in Los Angeles. Back then, it made consumer radios accessible to everyday people. Later, it helped bring colour television into homes. Decades after that, it became a familiar name in personal computers.

Throughout every era, the brand stuck to one idea: useful technology for the many, not just the few. Now, a hundred years later, that same philosophy is driving this new chapter.

The “Tech It Easy” Philosophy

As gadgets get more complicated, Packard Bell wants to go the other way. Its new tagline, “Tech it easy,” sums up the approach: simple technology for everyday life, priced fairly.

Valerie Piau, EMEA vice president at Acer Europe SA, explained the thinking behind it. According to her, people need technology that helps them study, work, and stay connected, all without breaking the bank. That focus on simplicity is central to the Packard Bell relaunch.

A Fresh Visual Identity

The new brand look is built around a single shape: the dot. The updated logo hides the letters “P” and “B” within a constellation of dots. These dots represent cells rather than pixels, a subtle way of pointing toward technology that feels human.

Alongside the new logo, the brand voice has changed too. Gone is the technical jargon; in its place is a warmer, plain-spoken tone. Lifestyle imagery will show real people using the products in daily situations. Four colours, orange, purple, green, and yellow, tie the whole identity together, from marketing campaigns to the products themselves. The brand will start by building its presence on digital channels, where younger shoppers spend their time.

The First Product Wave

At the centre of the Packard Bell relaunch is the DotBook, a 14.5-inch laptop designed for browsing, streaming, and everyday work. It echoes the netbooks that once made the brand a household staple.

Several other products round out the launch:

  • DotLoop – A suitcase-style vinyl turntable for the living room
  • DotTune – A speaker built to revive home listening
  • DotLine – A colourful 4G feature phone for families and digital-balance seekers
  • DotLook – Audio glasses that handle music and calls without earbuds or screens
  • DotShine – A ring light aimed at content creators
  • DotCombo – A keyboard-and-mouse set for the desk
  • DotBass – Colour-matching headphones

The brand is also teaming up with outside partners. One notable collaboration is with Steasy®, a startup behind a connected mini-steamer for the kitchen. This partnership extends the everyday-first philosophy beyond electronics and into home appliances. The first product from this collaboration will launch in Europe in Q4 2026, with more releases planned through 2027.

Backed by Acer Group

Even with its own distinct identity, Packard Bell still benefits from Acer Group’s infrastructure. That includes multilingual customer support across 28 countries, service centres throughout the EMEA region, and retail relationships built over decades.

This support system gives the brand a strong foundation as it re-enters the market with a more colourful, lifestyle-driven approach to consumer technology.
