HONOR has introduced the HONOR X9e Pro, the latest addition to its X Series. The phone builds on a durability focus that has defined the series across generations. Earlier models moved from stronger displays and improved drop resistance to protection against water, dust and demanding everyday conditions.

With this model, HONOR says it is pushing limits in four areas: Pro Quality, Pro Battery, Pro Display and Pro Imaging. As a result, the phone aims to deliver more endurance, resilience and capability. It does this while keeping a slim, everyday form factor.

Pro Quality: Deeper Durability

Durability starts with an all-new 360° shock-absorbing architecture. It is designed to protect against everyday impacts and challenging conditions. The device can withstand drops from up to 3 metres. It has also received SGS Five-Star certification for Drop Resistance in Harsh Scenarios.

Protection extends beyond drops. The phone carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. These cover dust ingress, water immersion and exposure to high-pressure, high-temperature water. It can also handle hot water splashes of up to 85°C.

For more demanding conditions, the phone supports submersion at depths of up to 10 metres. It also enables underwater photography. This takes the X Series durability story from everyday protection to far tougher environments.

Pro Battery: Multi-Day Endurance

Battery capacity is another major change. The HONOR X9e Pro carries an 11,000mAh battery, which HONOR describes as the industry’s largest. That is up 2,700mAh from the 8,300mAh battery in the previous generation. Even so, the phone measures about 8.08mm thin and weighs 203g. According to HONOR, this shows higher energy density without a bulky rugged design.

The battery is also built for long-term use. It features a 6-year battery durability design. In addition, it is supported by 80W HONOR SuperCharge and 27W wired reverse charging. AI Power Saving manages power based on how the device is used. Together, these features aim to extend endurance beyond the usual daily charging cycle.

Pro Display: Built for Harsh Light

The display sees a major upgrade as well. The 6.8-inch 1.5K screen supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It reaches a peak brightness of 10,000 nits. HONOR designed it to stay usable in direct sunlight, which is one of the toughest conditions for smartphone screens.

Moreover, the display supports wet-hand and glove touch. This keeps the screen practical in intense sunlight, in the rain or while wearing gloves. In other words, the display is built for unpredictable everyday conditions.

Pro Imaging: Clearer Results in Tough Conditions

On the imaging side, the phone has a 108MP main camera with CIPA 6.0-level stabilization. This helps in situations where hand movement can reduce sharpness. Examples include night photography, zoom shooting and spontaneous handheld capture. HONOR also adds underwater colour tuning for conditions where smartphone photography is more difficult.

Pro AI: Built-In Intelligence

Beyond hardware, the HONOR X9e Pro includes a broader set of AI capabilities. These are aimed at creativity, productivity and everyday interaction. AI Image to Video 2.0 turns still images into dynamic content. Creative Editor 2.0 helps enhance and edit photos. AI FreeGrip and intelligent hand recognition make interaction more intuitive. AI Summary, AI Notes, AI Translation and AI Conference help simplify daily tasks.

A New Pro Era for the X Series

With the HONOR X9e Pro, HONOR is no longer advancing one area at a time. The X Series now becomes a broader all-round “Pro” proposition. The phone will be offered in four color variants: Deep Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold and Midnight Black.
