Dubai Police is advancing its Agentic AI plans to integrate autonomous artificial intelligence into policing and administrative operations, as the UAE aims to transform 50% of government sectors, services and operations through autonomous AI technologies within two years.

The plans were discussed during a meeting of the Dubai Police Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Council, chaired by Major General Dr Ahmad Zaal bin Krishan Almuhairi, Deputy Commander in Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs.

During the meeting, Almuhairi emphasised that adopting advanced technologies must deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency, decision making, service quality and customer experience.

He reaffirmed Dubai Police’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation and expanding AI applications across policing and administrative functions. He also stressed the importance of turning technological advancements into practical solutions and measurable outcomes.

The council discussed plans to expand the use of Agentic AI, which enables intelligent systems to perform tasks and execute processes with greater autonomy. These discussions align with the UAE Government’s objective of transforming half of its sectors, services and operations within two years using autonomous AI technologies.

Council members examined how these capabilities could automate procedures, improve operational performance and support more efficient government services.

The meeting also reviewed progress on decisions and recommendations from previous sessions. Members discussed project priorities, implementation plans and the responsibilities of individual workstream leaders.

In addition, the council examined an AI-supported digital transformation plan that incorporates advanced analytics and emerging technologies. The plan aims to simplify procedures, accelerate transactions and improve the delivery of operational and field services.

Another area of focus was the development of shared digital service channels across government entities. These interconnected platforms are intended to strengthen integration between government services while making them easier and faster for customers to access.

The council also reviewed business continuity measures and the readiness of systems and procedures to maintain essential services under different operational circumstances. Members examined scenarios designed to strengthen institutional resilience and sustain critical policing and administrative functions.

Almuhairi highlighted the need for coordination between departments and a shared commitment to implementing intelligent solutions. He stressed that automating procedures, simplifying customer journeys and improving data analysis are essential to supporting informed decisions and future readiness.

He also reaffirmed the council’s role in coordinating initiatives, monitoring project implementation and ensuring that advanced technologies address the organisation’s operational and administrative priorities.

Dubai Police’s Agentic AI plans form part of wider efforts to support the Dubai Government’s vision for integrated and proactive digital services. The initiative also reflects the organisation’s focus on applying AI to improve operational performance, strengthen service delivery and advance security innovation.
