Ring is introducing new battery-powered doorbells in 2K and 4K. The launch delivers sharper video and more flexible installation across its doorbell lineup.

The new doorbells start at AED 249 and are available today. Ring is also expanding its 2K camera portfolio with the new Spotlight Cam. Each device includes a free trial of Ring Pro, which unlocks features such as intelligent video search and descriptions.

Premium 4K Video Clarity

The Battery Video Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen) is Ring’s most advanced battery-powered doorbell to date. It features Retinal 4K video and up to 10x Enhanced Zoom.

This helps capture front-door activity, packages and other details with greater clarity, day or night.

The doorbell also uses a redesigned internal architecture. It powers Ring’s fastest-charging battery to date. This helps the device stay running while it supports high-resolution video and advanced features.

As a result, the doorbell installs virtually anywhere without rewiring.

Three New 2K Doorbells

Alongside the 4K model, Ring is introducing three Retinal 2K doorbells. They come at different price points and installation types.

  • Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen): It features a Quick Release Battery Pack. This makes recharging faster and easier while delivering sharp 2K video.
  • Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen): It offers clear 2K video and up to 6x Enhanced Zoom. It has a streamlined, rechargeable design.
  • Wired Video Doorbell (2nd Gen): It includes Retinal 2K video. It is designed for homes with existing doorbell wiring.

New Solar Accessory for Flexible Installation

Ring is also introducing the Ring Solar Charger. This solar accessory gives battery-powered doorbells more flexible installation options.

It supports the Battery Video Doorbell Pro (2nd Gen), the Battery Video Doorbell Plus (2nd Gen) and the Battery Video Doorbell (2nd Gen).

The charger integrates directly into the mounting design. Customers can mount their doorbell on top of it.

Spotlight Cam (2nd Gen)

In addition to the doorbells, Ring is introducing the Spotlight Cam (2nd Gen). It features a dual-chamber battery design for more flexible power management. It is also compatible with the Quick Release Ultra Battery Pack, which is sold separately.

The camera delivers 2K video resolution. It captures faces and activity with greater clarity. A 550 lumens spotlight also improves nighttime visibility and deterrence.

Added Features With Ring Pro

A Ring Pro subscription gives access to video recording and enhanced features for the doorbell. It offers greater control and visibility over what is happening at home.

With Ring Pro, customers can:

  • Get Video Descriptions that summarize motion activity in plain language. This helps users understand what happened without watching the full clip.
  • Use Video Search with everyday language, such as “red lorry in my back garden” or “black dog playing.” This helps find specific moments faster.
  • Use Single Event Alert, which combines recurring motion alerts from the same event into one alert. This reduces unnecessary notifications.
  • Set up 2K, 4K and select HD devices with Familiar Faces. It lets users know if a friend or family member stops by.
  • Review recorded events with up to 180 days of video history.
  • Use Extended Live View to stay connected to real-time activity for longer.

By pairing high-resolution video with these capabilities, a Ring subscription helps turn everyday footage into more useful information. Customers can stay informed without scrolling through clips.
