Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025: Driving Sustainable Progress

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025 is set to take place from January 12 to 18 in Abu Dhabi. The event will bring together global leaders, policymakers, and innovators to accelerate sustainable development and advance socioeconomic progress.

ADSW 2025, themed “The Nexus of Next. Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” will focus on leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), renewable energy, and human expertise to unlock a $10 trillion economic transformation opportunity. This landmark event aims to fast-track the transition to a sustainable economy and spark a new era of prosperity.

His Excellency Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar, emphasized that ADSW 2025 will act as a global nexus for business leaders and policymakers to implement interconnected solutions for a more sustainable future. With the rise of emerging markets, energy system transformation, and the exponential growth of AI, the event highlights the need for action to drive socioeconomic and environmental progress.

Confirmed partners for ADSW 2025 include leading organizations such as ADNOC, Mubadala, DEWA, GE Vernova, Huawei, HSBC, and TotalEnergies, underscoring the event’s significance on the global sustainability calendar.

ADSW 2025 will feature key sessions, including the IRENA Assembly on January 12-13, the Global Climate Finance Annual Meeting on January 13, and the ADSW Opening Ceremony at ADNEC on January 14. The ADSW Summit and Green Hydrogen Summit will convene world leaders on January 14-15 to discuss strategies for unlocking investment opportunities and fostering global collaboration.

Other highlights include the World Future Energy Summit, taking place from January 14-16, featuring the Innovation Hub, where over 55 startups will showcase groundbreaking technologies. The event also includes the Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy (WiSER) Forum on January 15 and the Youth 4 Sustainability Forum, engaging 3,500 young leaders from January 14-16.

The Zayed Sustainability Prize will hold its annual awards ceremony on January 14, celebrating transformative innovations across Health, Food, Energy, Water, and Climate Action. Since its inception, the Prize has positively impacted more than 384 million lives worldwide by empowering solutions that improve access to clean energy, safe water, nutritious food, and quality healthcare.

ADSW 2025 will conclude with The Festival at Masdar City on January 17-18, celebrating sustainable living and community engagement. Over the years, ADSW has fostered global collaboration, enabling high-value agreements and strategic partnerships that drive sustainable growth.
