Acer has introduced a new lineup of Acer Iconia tablets, along with AI and AR glasses, expanding its on-the-go device portfolio.

The new Acer Iconia tablets include three models: the Iconia Duo S14, the Iconia Duo S12, and the Iconia Duo D12. Together, they debut Acer’s new 3:2 aspect ratio, which the company describes as a “golden ratio” for both media consumption and productivity. In addition to the tablets, Acer also launched the AR Vision GR0 augmented reality glasses and the GI0 AI glasses, extending mobile experiences beyond the screen.

All three tablets are powered by MediaTek chipsets. Specifically, the devices use either Dimensity or Helio systems-on-a-chip, depending on the model. Furthermore, each tablet offers up to 10 hours of battery life. Meanwhile, a microSD card slot supports up to 1 TB of additional storage, which is ideal for housing high-resolution creative files and data libraries.

The tablet runs on Android 16 and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC. Consequently, it is built to handle complex multitasking, AI-driven creative tools, and demanding engineering workflows.

In terms of connectivity, the Iconia Duo S14 includes DisplayPort in and out ports, along with two USB Type-C ports. As a result, it can function as a portable monitor or project content onto larger screens for presentations.

The device shares the same 2.8K OLED display technology as the Iconia Duo S14, but in a smaller 12.2-inch size. It also adds nano texture glass with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint properties. Moreover, the display delivers 600 nits of brightness for enhanced visibility.

The Iconia Duo S12 is housed in an aluminum alloy chassis and runs on Android 16. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC.

Acer Iconia Duo D12: An Accessible Entry Point

The Acer Iconia Duo D12 (D12-11M) rounds out the new Acer Iconia tablets series. It brings the benefits of the 3:2 screen format to a wider audience at a more accessible price.

Its 12.2-inch display offers a 2400 x 1600 resolution and supports multi-touch input. In addition, it features a 90 Hz refresh rate for smooth, responsive interactions.

The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, paired with 8 GB of onboard RAM. A USB Type-C port and microSD card slot provide further connectivity and storage flexibility.

Acer AR Vision GR0: Immersive AR Glasses

Alongside the tablets, Acer introduced the AR Vision GR0 glasses (GR100F). These glasses use the processing power of a connected smartphone, laptop, or other device to enable augmented reality experiences on demand.

The glasses feature dual micro OLED FHD screens. According to Acer, they deliver a viewing experience comparable to a 172-inch screen viewed from 6 meters away.
