Acronis, a global cybersecurity and data protection company, has announced the appointment of Gerald Beuchelt as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In this pivotal role, Beuchelt will oversee the execution of Acronis’ global information security strategy, focusing on the protection of the company’s systems, technologies, and data while advancing its mission to secure all applications and systems worldwide.
As a key executive in charge of security, Beuchelt will lead a global team of IT, security, and compliance professionals. He will also manage corporate IT infrastructure, including help desk operations, network and server management, and more. Additionally, Beuchelt will strengthen Acronis’ presence in the cybersecurity community, supporting the growth of research, threat intelligence, and new reports from the Acronis Threat Research Unit (TRU).

With over a decade of experience in cybersecurity leadership, Beuchelt most recently served as Chief Information Security Officer at Sprinklr Inc., following roles at LogMeIn, Demandware (acquired by Salesforce), and The MITRE Corporation. His background also includes significant involvement with the Boston Chapter of Infragard and the National Cyber Security Alliance.
