Aster DM Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the GCC, has marked a significant milestone with the launch of its flagship digital health platform, myAster, in Saudi Arabia. This launch is part of Aster’s strategic expansion into the Kingdom, aiming to revolutionize the healthcare experience for the people of Saudi Arabia.
Building on its success as the UAE’s top wellbeing and healthcare app with over 2 million downloads, myAster is set to transform digital healthcare in Saudi Arabia. The app offers a comprehensive suite of services, including online pharmacy, prescription home delivery, appointment management, video consultations, and home care services.
At the prestigious LEAP 2025 event, myAster introduced a groundbreaking feature: AI and GenAI voice integration in collaboration with Google Cloud. This innovative feature allows users to interact with the app using Arabic voice responses, helping them describe symptoms in their native dialect for a more personalized and culturally relevant experience. The AI-driven symptom analysis ensures users are directed to the right specialists or healthcare services within Aster’s network, bridging language barriers and enhancing accessibility.
With myAster, users can also track their health vitals, access lab reports, manage chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, and take charge of their wellness journey. These features make myAster a comprehensive solution for proactive health management.
Alisha Moopen, Managing Director & Group CEO of Aster DM Healthcare, commented on the launch, saying, “The launch of myAster in Saudi Arabia is a pivotal moment in our journey to provide integrated and accessible healthcare solutions. We continue to lead the digital healthcare revolution in the GCC, reaffirming our commitment to building a future-ready healthcare ecosystem that prioritizes convenience, accessibility, and innovation.”
Nalla Karunanithy, CEO of Digital Health and E-Commerce at Aster DM Healthcare, added, “myAster empowers individuals to manage their health and bridges the gap between patients and specialists. With AI and Google Cloud’s collaboration, we are setting a new standard for digital healthcare innovation. Our vision is to make healthcare smarter, more efficient, and deeply human-centered.”
Bader Almadi, Google Cloud GM in Saudi Arabia, emphasized, “By leveraging Google Cloud’s AI technologies, Aster is transforming the patient experience with myAster. The introduction of Arabic voice responses makes healthcare more accessible and personalized, demonstrating the potential of AI to revolutionize healthcare delivery.”
Aster DM Healthcare has also pledged a SAR 1 billion (USD 250 million) investment in Saudi Arabia over the next 2-3 years. This commitment will support the expansion of Aster Pharmacy to 180 stores, the establishment of five new hospitals, and the launch of 30 medical centers. Additionally, Aster plans to provide employment opportunities for approximately 4,900 people in the Kingdom within the next five years, with myAster playing a key role in delivering a seamless connected care experience to residents.
