Axis Communications has announced two new multifunctional display speakers designed to enhance public address systems. The AXIS C1710 Network Display Speaker and the dual-sided AXIS C1720 model combine visual and audio alerts to reach more people effectively.

These indoor solutions feature an attention-grabbing strobe bar, a powerful speaker, and a color text display. They are suited for various environments, including schools, healthcare facilities, and transportation hubs. Built on open standards, the AXIS C17 Series integrates seamlessly with third-party mass notification systems to ensure reliable communication in critical situations.

The display and strobe are customizable, offering multiple colors and text animations. Users can mix audio, display text, and strobe alerts to suit different scenarios, such as silent alerts or static reminders. Built-in digital signal processing delivers high-quality sound for live announcements, event-triggered alerts, scheduled messages, bell signals, sirens, and background music, even in challenging acoustic conditions.

Additionally, the display features brightness auto-adjustment and flexible text sizing for improved readability. Key features include combined speaker, display, and strobe functionality, two-way full duplex audio with echo cancellation, easy integration and scalability, remote health monitoring, content prioritization, and audio zoning.

The AXIS C1710 comes with a wall mount included. For the AXIS C1720, separate wall and ceiling mount accessories are available for corridor installations. The devices support quick and easy installation, with safety brackets and PoE cable connections designed for convenience.
