BEEAH and Sharjah Sustainable City have announced a strategic partnership to improve waste management and support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets.
Sharjah Sustainable City is a project by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in partnership with Diamond Developers. It is the first master-planned sustainable residential community in Sharjah.
The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials, including H.E. Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, CEO of Shurooq, and Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH. Yousif Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chief Real Estate Officer at Shurooq, and Fahad Ali Shehail, CEO of Environment at BEEAH, formalized the partnership.
Through this collaboration, both entities will work together on new sustainability initiatives. The focus will be on implementing modern waste solutions and advancing eco-friendly technologies across the community.
The partnership also aims to raise awareness. BEEAH will design education and training programs on sustainable waste management for residents and staff. This move is expected to encourage long-term sustainable behavior.
Sharjah Sustainable City will serve as a pilot location for testing BEEAH’s latest innovations. This includes automation tools, smart waste systems, and biogas operations. In addition, both sides will explore joint research, community projects, and sustainability-focused events.
According to Yousif Ahmed Al Mutawa, the partnership reflects a shared vision to build greener urban environments. He said that combining BEEAH’s expertise with Sharjah Sustainable City’s infrastructure will help shape the future of sustainable living in the UAE.
Fahad Ali Shehail noted that the initiative supports BEEAH’s goal to deliver impactful environmental solutions. He added that the collaboration strengthens Sharjah’s position as a hub for sustainability.
The agreement is expected to deliver clear environmental and social benefits. It also aligns with national and regional goals to build smarter, cleaner, and more resilient communities.
Sharjah Sustainable City uses advanced green technology to reduce its environmental footprint. Meanwhile, BEEAH continues to lead projects in waste management, clean energy, and smart cities across the region.
