Canon announced the launch of its new Subscription Data Security Services, offering flexible and easy-to-manage protection for businesses. The service delivers end-to-end security for endpoint devices, documents, and data.

Building on Canon’s existing print security solutions, the new service comes in two tiers: ‘Enhanced Security’ and ‘Premium Security’. Both include device hardening, automated firmware updates, data backup, and secure data destruction. The Premium tier adds proactive device monitoring, real-time threat detection, rapid recovery, and detailed security insights.

With the average cost of a data breach reaching $4.88 million in 2024, Canon highlighted the importance of protecting businesses against vulnerabilities. The Subscription Security Services help companies safeguard their print device fleets with unified security policies and continuous firmware updates.

The Premium tier supports larger device networks by enabling proactive security management and fast incident recovery. Canon also confirmed integration with its cloud solutions, including Cloud Connector and uniFLOW Online, to strengthen overall data security.

  • Services offer flexible deployment for varying business needs
  • Designed to simplify device protection and reduce manual updates
  • Proactive monitoring enhances rapid response to security threats

Quentyn Taylor, Director of Information Security at Canon Europe, said the service removes the complexity of device protection, allowing businesses to feel confident in their security regardless of fleet size.
