du, the leading telecom and digital services provider in the UAE, announced the release of its 2024 Sustainability Report. The report highlights major achievements in environmental stewardship, digital inclusion, and social responsibility.

The 2024 Sustainability Report outlines progress under three key themes: community impact, ethical operations, and inclusive services.
du revealed it ranked in the top 25% of technology sector performers globally and in the top 10% across all industries in the Microsoft Viva Glint Culture & Employee Engagement survey.
Additionally, du was awarded ‘Organization of the Year’ for Youth Empowerment at the GCC GOV HR & Youth Awards 2024. Notably, 54% of Emirati employees at du are women. Over 2,000 employees and their families took part in various initiatives.
The company launched the FutureX Program to upskill Emirati graduates in digital and leadership capabilities. du also ran several cyber safety campaigns to raise public awareness about online security and governance.
In support of national causes, du sponsored the AccessAbilities Expo to promote the inclusion of People of Determination. The company contributed AED 1 million to the Al Jalila Foundation and raised AED 4.9 million for the UAE Mothers’ Endowment Fund.
du also reported significant progress in environmental responsibility. In line with the UAE Net Zero 2050 vision, the company reduced carbon emissions by 8.6 KtCO₂. This was achieved by introducing 169 solar-powered telecom sites and optimizing cooling systems.
The company also achieved ISO certification for sustainable procurement. It emphasized the use of AI to optimize the Radio Access Network, reducing energy consumption.
As a result, du was awarded the ESG Label by the Dubai Chamber with a score of 91.48%. The company also received the Udemy Business MENA Excellence Award for its learning and development initiatives.
du’s 2024 Sustainability Report also highlights efforts to make services more accessible. The launch of ‘du Pay’ improved digital payment options. The company reported a 94% reduction in MNMI retail visits, driven by self-service kiosks and eSIM adoption.
Furthermore, du launched the UAE’s first AI-driven agritech platform with Gracia Group. This initiative aims to enhance agricultural sustainability using advanced technologies.
du’s partnerships with global tech leaders like Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, and Huawei underline its role in advancing AI and digital transformation in the UAE.
Finally, the report confirms du’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Dubai Financial Market ESG reporting guidelines.
