Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has supported the development and market launch of 32 new mobile applications through its Create Apps Accelerator Programme, reinforcing efforts to strengthen Dubai’s digital startup ecosystem and accelerate AI-powered app development.

The achievement highlights the impact of the programme in transforming innovative ideas into fully developed digital products. Notably, applications powered by artificial intelligence account for 60 percent of the newly launched apps, reflecting ongoing efforts to encourage the adoption of advanced technologies within Dubai’s private sector.

In addition, the initiative supports entrepreneurs and innovators in leveraging AI to create efficient, market-ready applications that address evolving business and consumer needs. The programme also aligns with Dubai’s broader strategy to advance digital innovation and technology-driven growth.

The Create Apps Accelerator Programme is a 45-day intensive technology sprint designed for high-potential startups within the Create Apps Championship ecosystem. This year’s edition brought together participants from 22 countries representing 13 different sectors.

Through structured milestones, expert mentorship, and practical support, participating teams developed functional app prototypes for both iOS and Android platforms. They also prepared for successful launches on the App Store and Google Play.

Commenting on the achievement, Saeed AlGergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said: “The Create Apps Accelerator Programme reflects Dubai’s strong commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship within the digital startup ecosystem. By providing a clear pathway for promising entrepreneurs at the beginning of their journey, the programme ensures that all high-potential ideas are given the opportunity to develop. The launch of the 32 apps reflects the impact of these efforts in enriching Dubai’s business ecosystem across advanced technology sectors and contributes to strengthening Dubai’s position as a global capital of the digital economy and a hub for empowering talented entrepreneurs from around the world.”

Furthermore, this year’s programme delivered more than 170 hours of one-on-one mentoring and guidance. It also featured six specialised workshops led by industry experts. The sessions covered key topics including user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, product positioning, regulatory compliance, and application scaling.

This represents a significant expansion compared to the previous edition, which provided 140 hours of mentoring support to 24 teams.

The 32 applications launched through the programme cover a broad range of sectors. Education emerged as the most represented category, followed by healthcare and longevity, highlighting growing interest in solutions focused on learning, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Meanwhile, other sectors represented include fintech, artificial intelligence, social media, and real estate. The programme attracted founders from 22 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, India, Yemen, and Jordan, demonstrating Dubai’s appeal as a destination for global entrepreneurial talent.

The Create Apps Accelerator Programme is specifically designed for participants who did not reach the final stages of the Create Apps Championship. As a result, entrepreneurs still gain access to training, mentorship, and support to bring their app ideas to market.

Moreover, the programme enhances the broader impact of the Create Apps in Dubai initiative, which continues to attract thousands of applications while driving growth in the regional app development sector. Through initiatives such as the Create Apps Accelerator Programme, Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a leading hub for AI-powered app development and digital innovation.
