In 2026, Dubai will host a major global event titled AI@70, as part of Dubai AI Week. The event will bring together experts from academia, business, technology, philosophy, art, and science. Its goal is to shape the direction of artificial intelligence for the next 70 years.

The AI@70 summit marks the 70th anniversary of the Dartmouth Workshop, which introduced AI as a field in 1956. Dartmouth College, the original host, will officially support the event.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced the initiative. He emphasized Dubai’s commitment to global cooperation and the responsible development of AI.

“AI can transform how we live, work, and understand humanity,” said Sheikh Hamdan. “Dubai will bring the best minds together to ensure AI benefits everyone.”

The event will also introduce the Humanity Lab, an eight-week incubator at the Dubai AI Campus. It will focus on combining philosophy, art, and technology to develop innovative AI solutions.

AI@70 will explore major scientific, ethical, and societal questions. It aims to connect technological progress with deep philosophical insight. This will help build a clear vision for AI’s future.

Organized by DIFC in collaboration with APCO, the summit will gather experts and advisors from around the world. The goal is to generate fresh ideas and set a new global AI agenda.

Dubai continues to position itself as a key player in AI innovation. The AI@70 event is another step toward shaping a future where technology serves humanity.
