DubaiNow’s enhanced Ejari service brings key tenancy procedures together in one digital journey, making real estate services more accessible, efficient, secure and transparent.

Customers can create and register tenancy contracts through a single process. Once a contract is approved, the Ejari certificate is issued immediately. The service also supports digital contract renewals and cancellations, connecting landlords and tenants through UAE PASS.

Customers can also pay the DEWA security deposit within the same journey. This allows them to activate electricity and water services for the property.

The enhancement reflects ongoing cooperation and digital integration between the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and the Dubai Land Department (DLD). It supports the “One Government” concept by bringing related procedures together on a unified government platform.

The service also supports DLD’s implementation of the Dubai Government’s Services 360 policy, which focuses on seamless, proactive and integrated services centred on customer needs. Through DubaiNow, customers can complete multiple procedures through a connected process designed to make digital government services easier to access.

The enhancement aligns with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Digital Strategy. It advances government service integration and aims to improve the efficiency of digital services.

Mohammed Ali Al Badwawi, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at Dubai Land Department, said the launch marks another step in the development of Dubai’s digital real estate services. He said cooperation with strategic partners helps simplify procedures and bring the tenancy journey together on a trusted government platform. He added that the approach supports faster service delivery, transparency and a secure digital experience.

Dr Moza Suwaidan, Executive Director of the Digital Applications and Platforms Sector at the Digital Dubai Government Establishment, said integrating Ejari into DubaiNow puts the unified government concept into practice. She said the shared digital channel connects services and procedures related to housing in one customer experience.

Suwaidan added that the impact of digital transformation should be measured by its effect on people’s lives, including fewer steps, time savings and a smoother experience.

Marwan Bin Haidar, Executive Vice President of Innovation and the Future at DEWA, said the integration supports digital transformation and closer cooperation between government entities. He said customers can pay the security deposit and activate electricity and water services through one digital journey, helping streamline procedures and save time and effort.

With the enhanced Ejari service on DubaiNow, customers can manage several tenancy procedures and DEWA payments through a connected digital process.
