DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) has announced a groundbreaking agreement with Ferrari to extend their partnership, focusing on the development of next-generation in-vehicle infotainment systems. This collaboration will bring drivers closer to the high-performance capabilities that Ferrari vehicles are renowned for, enhancing the driving experience with cutting-edge technology.
Leveraging its deep expertise in the automotive industry, DXC will work alongside Ferrari to engineer infotainment systems that offer superior functionality, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the market. The focus is on creating an agile, innovative infotainment platform that enhances both performance and usability for Ferrari owners.
Ernesto Lasalandra, Chief Research and Development Officer at Ferrari, praised DXC’s contribution: “DXC is a market-leading innovator in the automotive industry, enabling us to accelerate the development of our software platform and its components as well as state-of-the-art functionalities and usability.”
The partnership dates back to 2021 when DXC began reengineering Ferrari’s Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems for current and future models. One notable project has been the development of software for the Ferrari F80, Ferrari’s latest supercar launched in October 2024. The F80 combines road and track-ready features, with its bespoke software ensuring a seamless, high-speed experience. The car’s ‘digital cockpit’ system includes multiple displays offering real-time performance data, including speed, G-force, revs, and tire pressure, for an immersive racing experience. When on the track, the display transforms into a racing-specific mode, further enhancing the thrill for both driver and passenger.
Luz G. Mauch, Executive Vice President of Automotive & Manufacturing at DXC, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “DXC brings its deep experience in the automotive sector to our partnership with Ferrari, one of the most prestigious carmakers in the world. The cutting-edge software innovations we develop today will help transform the driver experience for decades to come.”
This expanded partnership marks a new chapter in Ferrari’s commitment to excellence, with DXC’s advanced automotive technologies driving innovation in the luxury carmaker’s future models.
