Through a series of impactful global initiatives, DXC aims to foster a diverse and inclusive workforce while addressing the pressing challenges of the digital age.

In recognition of World STEM Day, DXC is proud to sponsor and participate in numerous programs designed to enhance STEM talent development. As a global leader in IT services with a workforce of over 125,000 employees across more than 60 countries, DXC emphasizes the importance of STEM education in driving innovation and empowering individuals to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.

DXC’s global STEM initiatives include:

– DXC Digital Futures Academy: Launched in collaboration with Manchester United Foundation, this program offers STEM and personal development training, focusing on skills like VR and coding for secondary students. Now in its third year, the program has expanded to Glasgow and continues to support students’ pathways into education and careers.

– DXC Dandelion Program: This award-winning initiative provides neurodiverse individuals with meaningful employment in technology fields such as data analytics, software automation, and cybersecurity. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the program has expanded to countries including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Bulgaria, Poland, the Philippines, and Italy.

– Digital Futures Program: This program refurbishes technology devices and provides computer literacy training to underserved communities, fostering digital inclusion. In partnership with other organizations, the program has impacted over 24,000 lives across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.

– STEM Ambassadors Programme: Volunteers in the UK engage with schools by running STEM-related activities and inspiring students to pursue careers in technology and science.

– Building a Digital Workforce: In collaboration with academic institutions, DXC co-designs educational curriculums and degree programs to bridge the skills gap in the ICT industry. This initiative helps students gain real-world experience through internships and employment opportunities.

– Code Challenges: DXC continues to sponsor STEM competitions like the DXC Code Challenge in Portugal and DXC Iberia Codes in Spain, engaging students aged 7 to 15 in team-based programming activities.

– Girls in IT: In Brazil, this program empowers young women aged 17 to 21 with hands-on tech training and career guidance, preparing them for careers in the technology sector.
