Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) has unveiled its latest innovation, the NetCloud Assistant (ANA), a generative AI-powered virtual expert designed to simplify the management of enterprise 5G networks. Unlike traditional chatbots, ANA uses generative AI to read, understand, and generate new text and graphical content, reducing complex tasks from hours to seconds. This advanced solution is the first of its kind for enterprise Wireless WAN (WWAN) networks, leveraging large language models for enhanced performance and efficiency.
The NetCloud Assistant (ANA) is hosted entirely within Ericsson’s infrastructure, ensuring maximum privacy by eliminating the need for third-party API calls. ANA streamlines network management with features such as personalized knowledge summarization, which condenses technical documentation into tailored insights, and configuration assistance that guides users through WAN edge device setups based on best practices. ANA also automates troubleshooting tasks, offering step-by-step instructions to resolve connectivity issues, reducing the time needed for repairs.
Future releases of ANA will introduce additional features, including policy recommendations for SD-WAN optimization and custom graph generation, allowing administrators to visualize more complex network data. These advancements will enhance enterprise network performance and application availability, making network management more efficient and user-friendly.
Pankaj Malhotra, Head of Enterprise Networking and Security at Ericsson, explained, “By integrating cutting-edge AI, we’re empowering even the most streamlined IT teams to tackle complex 5G network administration challenges, improving network reliability, security, and overall user experience.”
ANA complements Ericsson’s NetCloud AIOps dashboard, a tool that detects performance-driven anomalies like latency and jitter, providing real-time insights to IT teams. Together, these tools enable proactive management of 5G networks, ensuring optimal performance and a seamless digital experience.
The NetCloud Assistant (ANA) and NetCloud AIOps dashboard will be available for demonstration at NRF 2025, Ericsson’s booth #3948. These tools will evolve to support Ericsson’s Private 5G solutions, further advancing the future of enterprise network management with AI-driven efficiency.
