EU research funding is set to reach €411 million across 73 new projects aimed at improving access to technology and services for researchers. The projects are designed to support EU priorities and strengthen the competitiveness of the European Research Area.

The projects have been selected under Horizon Europe. They will provide researchers and innovators with better and more accessible tools, services, and technologies.

In particular, the initiatives will support research across several areas. These include health, climate resilience, agriculture, transport, and manufacturing.

At the same time, the funding will focus on the professionals working behind research infrastructures. This includes improving training, supporting mobility, and creating new career opportunities for research infrastructure professionals.

The projects are also expected to contribute to wider European priorities. These include Mission Cancer and Destination Earth, while supporting the green and digital transitions.
