Google Workspace is expanding its language support, now including Arabic and several other languages, to make Gemini for Workspace more accessible to over 1 billion people. This update will help organizations worldwide work more effectively across platforms.

For more than 20 years, Google Workspace has empowered over 10 million businesses of all sizes, from startups to global enterprises, to transform their workflow and productivity. Starting this week, Gemini in the side panel of Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Gmail now supports a variety of new languages including Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Hebrew, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. This feature allows users to work seamlessly in these languages, whether drafting social media posts in Docs, summarizing files in Drive, or managing emails in Gmail. Additionally, image generation is supported in these languages.

This news follows Google’s announcement that Workspace Business and Enterprise plans are now including the best of Google AI. By simplifying plans and pricing, Google aims to bring AI-driven tools to all Workspace customers.

Gemini’s integration in Google Workspace applications is designed to help users work more efficiently. In Gmail, users can quickly find unread emails, organize their inbox, and even draft responses with ease. Customer service representatives can use Gemini to highlight important messages and start replies in their preferred language. In Docs, marketing teams can generate social media copy or campaign material even when faced with writer’s block. Gemini in Drive helps sales teams by summarizing key information from various documents, ensuring they are well-prepared for meetings.

The new language support in Gemini is not limited to Workspace apps. Users can also choose from 40 languages while researching or brainstorming on gemini.google.com. Google Meet users can turn on translated captions during video calls in one of 69 supported languages, while Gemini can automatically translate messages in Google Chat to bridge communication gaps across teams.

This expansion of language support makes Google Workspace even more inclusive, offering users around the world the tools they need to enhance collaboration and productivity.
