Huawei hosted the Smart Education Forum at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, where it revealed advanced solutions to address industry challenges and promote digital inclusivity. The company reported that these innovations aim to enhance operational efficiency across schools and universities.

Recognizing education as a key driver of digital transformation, the forum gathered educators, policymakers, and technology experts to explore the growing role of AI in shaping the future of education.

The event opened with a welcome address by Peter Zhang, Vice President of Huawei Global Public Business Unit. It was followed by Alexander Michael, Global Vice President and ICT Advisory at Frost & Sullivan, who shared insights on how AI is reshaping the education landscape.

Mehedi Hasan Limon, Vice President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia Public Sector, presented “A New Blueprint for Intelligent Education.” He revealed Huawei’s vision of a digital education community integrating technology, services, and stakeholders to create a more inclusive and sustainable learning ecosystem.

The system leverages Cloud, AI, and Big Data to support digital transformation in education by connecting learning, management, and research environments.

In collaboration with UNESCO IITE, Huawei also released ICT Skills Development Insight Reports with key recommendations. The reports offer scalable solutions that evolve with institutional needs while reducing technical complexity.

Cong Liang, Chief Strategy Officer of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia, stated that education is at a pivotal moment. He emphasized Huawei’s commitment to helping schools and universities modernize teaching methods, drive digital campus transformation, and build smart classroom infrastructure.

Ekaterina Pushkareva, Programme Specialist at UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), noted that AI is transforming higher education and creating new opportunities for inclusive and adaptive learning. She highlighted that the partnership with Huawei demonstrates how collaboration between technology leaders and international organizations can accelerate digital transformation and bridge the digital divide.
