His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, today opened Intersec 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The exhibition, reported to be one of the largest technology-focused security events, runs until 14 January. It brings together more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries and is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors.

Intersec 2026 was announced as hosting more than 250 experts and speakers. Meanwhile, the exhibition spans around 65,000 square metres, reflecting the scale of international participation.

During the opening tour, His Highness was accompanied by senior officials, including Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence; Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs; Lieutenant General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai’s State Security Department; Mishal Julfar, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services; and Khalifa Ibrahim Al-Sleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Authority.

His Highness said the organisation of Intersec 2026 reflects Dubai’s role as a global hub for advanced security and safety ecosystems. He noted that the event provides a platform connecting government entities, private sector organisations, decision-makers and global experts to present new technologies and solutions.

He added that the rapid development of security, safety and emergency response technologies requires closer integration between innovation, readiness and real-world application. Dubai, he said, remains committed to supporting exhibitions that strengthen community security and enhance safety systems in line with international standards.

During his visit, His Highness reviewed advanced solutions presented by national, regional and international companies. He visited the pavilions of Transguard, LINEV Systems, SIRA and Axis Communications, where several initiatives supporting the regulation and development of the security sector were revealed.

The tour also included Motorola Solutions, Keniventi (Robert Bosch), UXE, WEFLO, Lichfield Fire and Safety, and Bristol Fire Engineering. His Highness later visited the Dubai Civil Defence pavilion and concluded the tour at NAFFCO, where fire protection, safety and emergency response systems were showcased.

Dishan Isaac, Show Director of Intersec at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said the opening of Intersec 2026 marks a significant moment for the industry. He reported that the exhibition provides a platform for government and industry stakeholders to exchange practical insights and address evolving security challenges.

Intersec 2026 highlights technologies and strategies across five sectors:

  • Homeland Security and Policing

On the opening day, expert-led sessions focused on security, safety and protection were held. Activities continue with the International Security Leaders’ Summit, the Fire and Rescue Conference, the Control Room Innovation Theatre and the Innovation Forum.

The second day will conclude with the Intersec Awards, where the 2026 winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Conrad Dubai.
