Nutanix (NASDAQ: NTNX), a hybrid multicloud computing company, has announced an expanded partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to simplify cloud migrations and provide enhanced support for customers managing workloads across both on-premises and cloud environments.

This strategic collaboration introduces Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS, enabling businesses to extend their on-premises Nutanix infrastructure to the AWS cloud seamlessly. With this integration, customers can run applications on a consistent environment across on-premises and AWS, while accessing AWS services such as Amazon S3, AWS Databases, and advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) capabilities, all backed by AWS’s security, scalability, and resiliency.

Tarkan Maner, Chief Commercial Officer at Nutanix, said, “90% of organizations are adopting a ‘cloud smart’ approach, selecting the best environment for each application. Our expanded strategic partnership with AWS will simplify cloud migration, speed up AWS adoption via NC2, and open doors to hybrid cloud opportunities for our customers.”

Chris Sullivan, Vice President of Americas Channels & Alliances at AWS, emphasized, “This partnership helps customers innovate by simplifying cloud migration, empowering them to leverage AWS’s scalability, security, and innovation.”

The expanded collaboration offers several benefits for customers:

– Faster, low-risk app migrations: Move workloads predictably with the Nutanix Move migration tool, minimizing migration risks and eliminating the need for costly application refactoring.

– Effortless scale and flexibility: Leverage AWS’s elasticity to manage capacity demands and automate IT across hybrid cloud environments.

– Enhanced cloud efficiency: Optimize cloud resources and reduce costs by utilizing bare-metal platforms in AWS with a unified control plane and consistent automation for virtual machines.

AWS is also providing promotional credits to assist customers with migrations and proof-of-concept trials, including support through the AWS VMware Migration Accelerator. Additional benefits include free migration assessments, AWS credits, and Nutanix licensing pricing promotions.

Andy Tay, Cloud First Global Lead at Accenture, remarked, “The Nutanix-AWS partnership is setting a new standard for clients, offering a strong, integrated digital core for agile and innovative business reinvention.”

Dave Pearson, Research Vice President at IDC, concluded, “This partnership provides enterprises with the agility needed to navigate today’s dynamic IT landscape and accelerate their migration to the cloud.”

The expanded collaboration aims to accelerate digital transformation and provide a seamless, scalable solution for cloud migration and modernization.
