OPSWAT has announced a global strategic reseller agreement with Emerson. The move will expand cybersecurity solutions for power and water industry customers. The partnership will bring OPSWAT’s proven technologies to Emerson’s global base.

As a first step, Emerson will integrate OPSWAT’s OT patch management capabilities into its Ovation Automation Platform. This integration aims to strengthen security across operational technology environments. It also ensures safer and more scalable patch management.

Furthermore, the new solution builds on existing collaboration efforts. It secures the Ovation Platform using MetaDefender Endpoint and My OPSWAT Central Management On-Premises. These solutions are part of Emerson’s cybersecurity suite for power and water sectors.

According to Robert Yeager, President of Emerson’s power and water solutions business, customers need cybersecurity designed specifically for OT. He emphasized that such solutions protect real-time industrial systems while maintaining performance and safety. He added that the collaboration enhances Emerson’s ability to secure its automation platform with a modern approach.

Meanwhile, critical infrastructure operators continue to face rising cyber threats. These include regulatory pressure and risks from unpatched vulnerabilities. Power generation and water utilities remain key targets. Therefore, OPSWAT’s solution introduces a modern patch management approach tailored for industrial environments.

In addition, the solution addresses challenges from mixed legacy and modern systems. It also responds to increasing ransomware and nation-state cyberattacks targeting energy and water sectors.

Benny Czarny, Founder and CEO of OPSWAT, noted that digital transformation is expanding the attack surface. He explained that cybersecurity in such environments must be scalable and designed for OT realities. He added that the partnership embeds a prevention-first approach into a trusted automation platform.

Emerson currently offers the Ovation Automation Platform globally. More than 800 sites already use cybersecurity technologies designed for critical industries. These include power, water, and wastewater sectors.

Moreover, the collaboration builds on the existing DeltaV Alliance agreement. This includes MetaDefender Kiosk and MetaDefender Unidirectional Security Gateway for the DeltaV Automation Platform.

Finally, the partnership reflects Emerson’s strategy to work with proven cybersecurity providers. It also responds to evolving global regulations and the need to address emerging vulnerabilities. Overall, the collaboration highlights the growing importance of OPSWAT in securing critical infrastructure worldwide.
