Pure Storage and Nutanix have announced the general availability of a new integrated solution aimed at modern enterprise IT. The offering combines Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure with the high-performance architecture of Pure Storage FlashArray to improve application responsiveness and operational agility.

The companies reported that customers gain a full-stack virtual infrastructure that is scalable and designed for business-critical and data-intensive workloads, including AI. As a result, organizations can deploy and manage virtual environments more efficiently while reducing complexity.

Commenting on the announcement, Dan Kogan, VP of Product Management at Pure Storage, said the virtualization market is changing rapidly. He noted that rising licensing costs and vendor lock-in are pushing IT leaders to reassess their technology stacks. According to him, the Pure Storage and Nutanix partnership offers an alternative built for performance, resilience, and flexibility. He added that the solution is simple to deploy, easy to manage, and available now.

The integrated platform brings together the Pure Storage platform and the Nutanix Cloud Platform to streamline operations, enhance security, and reduce reliance on legacy virtualization. Pure Storage provides a cloud-like storage-as-a-service foundation that unifies block, file, and object storage with centralized management. Built on Evergreen architecture, it supports non-disruptive upgrades and zero-downtime operations while helping reduce cost, space, and energy use.

Pure Storage FlashArray, a core component of the platform, is engineered for high-performance workloads at enterprise scale. It offers always-on global compression and deduplication for improved data efficiency and uses a modular NVMe architecture to separate compute and storage, delivering sub-millisecond latency across workloads.

Through full integration with Nutanix Prism, customers get VM-level snapshots and seamless Day 1 and Day 2 operations from a single interface. FlashArray also delivers six-nines availability and scales with DirectFlash Modules to multiple petabytes of effective capacity. In addition, advanced replication features, including asynchronous replication and a roadmap to ActiveDR and ActiveCluster, are designed to strengthen business continuity.

Nutanix Cloud Platform simplifies IT operations across hybrid environments. Nutanix Prism offers a unified, VM-centric interface with automation and monitoring, while Nutanix AHV reduces cost and complexity compared to third-party hypervisors. Nutanix Flow adds policy-driven microsegmentation and virtual networking to help meet compliance needs.

Together, Pure Storage and Nutanix reported that the solution enables organizations to move away from legacy virtualization and modernize infrastructure for evolving business demands.

Key benefits highlighted include:

  • Integrated Pure Storage FlashArray with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure
  • Simplified virtualization operations with improved performance
  • Support for AI and data-intensive enterprise workloads

Anthony Jackman, Chief Innovation Officer at Expedient, said the partnership allows his company to deliver predictable outcomes for clients while maintaining flexibility. He added that customers can leverage existing investments while modernizing their infrastructure with the new solution.
