Redington, a technology aggregator across emerging markets, announced its commitment to drive Africa’s digital transformation at GITEX Nigeria. The inaugural edition of the tech event took place from 1st to 4th September 2025 in Abuja and Lagos.

The company revealed its strong presence in Africa, enabling partners and customers with next-generation technologies and new business models. Redington showcased its portfolio at Hall EH, Stand D-50, alongside global leaders including Dell Technologies, AWS, Microsoft, Red Hat, Trend Micro, Western Digital, and iStore.

During the expo and AI summit, Sayantan Dev, Global Head of the Software Solutions Group (SSG), introduced the newly launched division to Nigeria. He reported on its vision to accelerate software-led growth and digital transformation across Africa.

Dev said cloud, SaaS, AI, and security are now at the core of business operations. He added that GITEX Nigeria is an ideal platform to bring this discussion to the forefront.

Serkan Çelik, CEO for Turkey, Africa, Egypt, and CIS at Redington, joined a panel on helping corporate Africa take a digital leap. He revealed that Nigeria is emerging as a hub for transformation, driven by talent and entrepreneurial spirit.

Çelik said Redington acts as a bridge between global innovation and local opportunities. He emphasized the role of connecting vendors, resellers, governments, and startups to build resilience and Unlock Next for Africa’s digital future.

The company also hosted the Redington Ecosystem Gathering & Awards for the first time in Nigeria. This flagship event has previously been held at GITEX UAE and LEAP Saudi Arabia.

Jim Mathew, President of Africa at Redington, announced that Nigeria is a key market in the company’s Africa growth story. He added that partners remain central to Redington’s success.

Sunil Zarekar, Vice President for West and Central Africa, said the company’s story is built on trust and collaboration. He noted that GITEX Nigeria provided opportunities to deepen relationships and shape the region’s digital future.

Visitors at the stand engaged with leaders and experts, joined technology sessions, and participated in discussions on Technogram, Redington’s podcast channel. The stand also hosted focused meetings on Africa’s digital future and new opportunities for collaboration.

Redington reported that its presence at GITEX Nigeria reflected its mission to Unlock Next for the region’s digital ecosystem.
