Salesforce has announced the expansion of its operations in Saudi Arabia with a new regional headquarters in Riyadh. The company also plans to collaborate with IBM to establish an AI Center of Excellence in Riyadh and has committed to upskilling 30,000 Saudi citizens by 2030. This expansion highlights Salesforce’s growing presence in the region and its support for Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 as businesses and the public sector adopt its digital labor platform, Agentforce.

The announcement was made at Saudi House during the World Economic Forum, with key participation from HE Khalid A. Alfalih, Minister of Investment, HE Abdullah A. Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and HE Ahmed A. Alkhateeb, Minister of Tourism. With its Agentforce platform, Salesforce is paving the way for AI-driven digital labor that enhances productivity and innovation across industries, benefiting organizations such as Almosafer, Red Sea Global, and Saudi Research and Media Group (SRMG).

Salesforce’s regional headquarters, set to open in Riyadh in 2025, will serve as a hub for expanding its operations in the Middle East. Mohammed Alkhotani, newly appointed Senior Vice President of the Middle East at Salesforce, will lead regional strategy and operations, driving digital transformation and innovation for local businesses through AI and data technologies.

In addition to expanding its regional footprint, Salesforce’s partnership with IBM will establish the AI Center of Excellence in Riyadh. This collaboration combines Salesforce’s AI capabilities with IBM’s consulting expertise to deliver cutting-edge Agentforce-driven solutions to businesses, helping them unlock new levels of productivity and efficiency. The initiative is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at making the Kingdom a global leader in technology and innovation.

Salesforce’s commitment to developing local talent is another key aspect of its expansion. The company plans to upskill 2,500 Saudi citizens by 2026, with a total of 15,000 individuals trained by 2030, focusing on AI and Agentforce-related roles. The program also aims to empower female talent, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goal of gender parity. Salesforce is partnering with local universities and institutions, including IBM and Al Baha University Talent Center, to provide training and certification programs. Additionally, Salesforce will leverage its Trailhead platform to train 15,000 individuals across the Kingdom.

Salesforce’s expansion and its partnership with IBM demonstrate the company’s strong commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and Vision 2030. By focusing on AI-driven innovation and upskilling local talent, Salesforce is playing a key role in shaping the future of business and technology in the Kingdom.
