Samsung gaming monitors have once again claimed the top spot in the global market. According to the latest IDC data, Samsung retained its position as the world’s leading gaming monitor brand for the sixth consecutive year in 2024.

The company secured a 21.0% share of the global gaming monitor market by revenue. This result confirms Samsung’s strong presence in a fast-paced, performance-driven industry.

In addition, Samsung ranked first in the global OLED monitor segment for the second year in a row. It achieved a 34.6% market share, just two years after introducing its first OLED model.

Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said the brand’s success reflects its ongoing focus on innovation and user needs.

Samsung’s growth is powered by its advanced Odyssey gaming monitors. These include:

  • Odyssey 3D (G90XF): A 27-inch monitor offering glasses-free 3D gaming with eye-tracking and lenticular lens technology. It features 2D-to-3D conversion, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 1ms GTG response time.
  • Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF): A 27-inch or 32-inch 4K OLED monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time. It uses QD-OLED tech and includes OLED Safeguard+.
  • Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF): A 27-inch QHD OLED monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GTG response time. It is expected to launch in the second half of 2025.

All Samsung gaming monitors use Quantum Dot OLED technology for better color, contrast, and brightness. They also support NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to reduce lag and screen tearing.

The Odyssey 3D and OLED G8 are now available globally. The OLED G6 will launch worldwide in late 2025.

Samsung continues to lead in display innovation, offering gamers around the world powerful, high-performance monitors.
