Saviynt has launched Saudi data residency for its Enterprise Identity Cloud, with the solution hosted in Google Cloud’s Dammam region to keep sensitive identity data within the Kingdom.

The deployment responds to growing demand from government entities, financial institutions and other regulated organisations. Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) makes regulatory compliance a priority. Unauthorised cross-border data transfers or breaches can result in fines of up to SAR 5 million.

Identity data includes sensitive user, access and approval information. Keeping it within national borders can help organisations address regulatory requirements as they pursue digital transformation.

“Identity is becoming the control plane for AI, and Saudi organizations need solutions that address their evolving regulatory and data residency requirements,” said Kamel Heus, Vice President of Sales, Middle East and Africa, Saviynt. He said the deployment combines hosting in Google Cloud’s Dammam region with Saviynt’s local legal entity, supporting organisations across government, financial services, energy, telecommunications and other sectors.

As organisations expand cloud adoption and bring AI initiatives into production, identity security is gaining importance. Access needs now extend across people, applications and AI agents. Saviynt says its local hosting allows organisations to modernise identity governance without managing their own infrastructure or compromising on data residency.

The Saudi deployment offers local data residency, a cloud-native SaaS platform with AI capabilities, and performance benefits through local hosting. Customers can also work with Saviynt’s local legal entity and access local support and broader regional expertise.

“Our cloud-native, SaaS-based platform brings modern identity security and AI capabilities to Saudi Arabia, helping organizations move beyond legacy infrastructure while benefiting from a more seamless experience and improved performance through local hosting,” said Niraj Gopal, Vice President of Product Management, Saviynt. He added that the launch is intended to make identity security more accessible to Saudi organisations and support the modernisation of their identity operations.

Available since October 1, 2026, the service hosts customer data, personally identifiable information, encryption keys, logs and metadata within the Kingdom. The launch expands Saudi data residency options for organisations adopting Saviynt’s identity platform.
