COMPUTEX 2025 opened its doors with a powerful keynote by James C.F. Huang, Chairman of TAITRA. His speech marked the beginning of a new chapter, not just in technology but in human history.

This year, AI itself is undergoing a revolution. According to Huang, 2025 is not just about incremental progress. It’s about transformation. Breakthroughs in open-source technology have dramatically lowered the cost of AI.

As a result, powerful tools are now in the hands of entrepreneurs and dreamers around the world. This shift is fueling explosive innovation.

Small, agile companies are now doing the impossible. They are redefining industries through bold, new AI applications.

At the same time, AI has crossed a major threshold. Huang called it “the Turing boundary,” the line that once separated human thought from machine intelligence.

This isn’t just another milestone in computing.

It’s a turning point for humanity.

Machines can now think, reason, and create at a level once believed to be uniquely human. “Someone is smarter than us now,” Huang said.

This moment has not gone unnoticed.

A newly appointed Pope chose the name Dale XIV, echoing Pope Dale XIII who had led the world through the Industrial Revolution.

This symbolic gesture, Huang noted, reflects the Vatican’s recognition of the AI revolution. The Pope is calling for a global reflection on faith, justice, dignity, and labor.

“Two revolutions. Two Pope Dales,” Huang stated.

But another deeply human trait is pushing AI forward: memory.

Huang emphasized how our wisdom is shaped by memory. And now, AI is gaining that too. In 2025, machines are beginning to develop long-term memory.

This ability allows them to learn from experience, develop skills, and build character, just like humans.

Affordable, intelligent robots with memory will soon become essential in daily life.

They will work alongside us in offices, factories, hospitals, and homes.

Each robot will be uniquely shaped by its environment from the moment it is created at the factory.

This shift marks a transition from a hardware-driven computing era to a new kind of society.

A society powered by intelligent applications, personalized interactions, and meaningful partnerships between humans and machines.

Huang firmly stated, “Taiwan is at the center of this global transformation.”

With unmatched strengths in semiconductors, innovation, and computing, Taiwan is poised to shape the AI-powered future.

COMPUTEX 2025 is where it all comes together.

Since its beginning in 1981, COMPUTEX has been the place where the future arrives first.

This year’s theme, “AI Next,” is not about distant dreams.

It’s about the present reality already transforming our lives.

COMPUTEX 2025 is the bridge connecting hardware and software, computing power and real-world applications, open-source tools and industry innovation.

Most importantly, it connects human and artificial intelligence.

This year, the event focuses on three major themes:

  1. AI and Robotics – Empowering machines to think, learn, and move alongside humans
  2. Next-Gen Technology – Featuring advanced chips, cloud solutions, edge computing, and smart mobility
  3. Future Mobility – Creating cleaner, smarter, seamlessly connected transportation

These themes form the foundation for the next decade of global innovation.

Throughout the week, top leaders from NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Foxconn, MediaTek, and NXP will share insights.

The CEO Forum remains a highlight where global tech leaders exchange ideas with industries, capital markets, creators, and even AI systems.

The conversations here don’t just influence technology.

They shape the future.

But COMPUTEX offers even more.

It celebrates bold thinking, vibrant innovation, and global collaboration.

Visit the AI Forum to explore real-world applications.

Experience the future at the 10th edition of InnoVEX, showcasing 450 startups from 24 countries.

Connect and network at Tech on Time, a dedicated event for innovators and buyers.

Don’t miss the exclusive COMPUTEX pop-up store either.

COMPUTEX 2025 is also welcoming capital market leaders from around the globe.

A special highlight is the new partnership with the Taiwan Stock Exchange, aimed at expanding capital market services.

Guests are invited to the hospitality lounges, including one hosted by the Stock Exchange, to relax, connect, and form transformative partnerships.

In closing, Huang offered a reflection.

Forty years ago, Maurice Chong envisioned a world driven by semiconductors. His question, “What would that future mean?” led to the founding of TSMC, transforming Taiwan and the world.

Now, we face a similar turning point.

As AI becomes universal, Huang asked, “What would that world be?”

The answers, he said, begin here at COMPUTEX 2025.
