In a groundbreaking move, SentinelOne has elevated the benchmark for cybersecurity solutions with the introduction of its Singularity Platform. Today, the company is raising the bar even higher by unveiling a host of enhancements as part of the Unity release. These include a revamped user experience, the introduction of a generative AI security assistant, and significant improvements to its Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, and Data Lake offerings. These transformative upgrades, showcased at OneCon, SentinelOne’s inaugural customer conference held at The Boca Raton Resort last week, are poised to set a new standard in the cybersecurity landscape.

Ric Smith, Chief Product and Technology Officer at SentinelOne, emphasized the evolving needs of enterprises in the security realm. “Enterprises today require not only a robust and capable platform but also intelligent automation that simplifies the analyst experience and enhances the productivity of their security teams,” said Smith. “The Singularity Unity Release, guided by our belief in the fusion of design-driven product development and AI, is meticulously crafted to elevate user experience and reinforce security measures.”

A Comprehensive AI Platform for Enterprise Protection

The Singularity Unity Release represents a groundbreaking series of enhancements that SentinelOne plans to roll out incrementally over the next 12 months, revolutionizing Security Operations Centers (SOCs). This platform aims to serve as the command post and comprehensive system of record for SOCs, providing a new user experience. With the integration of Purple AI, the Singularity Unity release is designed to optimize user experience, simplify investigations, strengthen governance, and significantly improve key performance metrics such as Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR). Built on the Singularity Data Lake, the platform allows organizations to standardize on an AI-powered security platform that consolidates Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Extended Detection Response (XDR) solutions.

Zack Moody, Global CISO at KYOCERA AVX, praised SentinelOne’s unique position as a single agent and platform in the cloud. “We’ve had nothing but complete success with them, and we’re really excited to continue our partnership into the future.”

Singularity Data Lake: The introduction of one-click data integration and normalization in Singularity Data Lake is set to dramatically simplify security and log analytics projects. The addition of the new Singularity Graph offers enriched correlation and contextual awareness, simplifying the understanding of potential attack impacts and attacker paths. These enhancements position Singularity Data Lake as a compelling alternative for SOCs and IT organizations relying on log management and observability platforms.

Cloud Security: The Unity release introduces a comprehensive Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) within the Singularity Platform, designed to secure both public and private cloud infrastructures. This includes a combination of agent and agentless capabilities for robust run-time protection and real-time defenses against threats, misconfigurations, and exposed secrets. Seamless integration with Singularity Operations Center and Data Lake provides customers with visibility and operational governance over their entire estate.

Endpoint: The Singularity Unity release enhances SentinelOne’s endpoint experience for increased effectiveness and user-friendliness. New features such as Identity (conditional access and breached password detection) and Attack Surface and Exposure Management (prioritizing and managing vulnerability exposures) will be seamlessly delivered in a single, rebootless agent. These capabilities, coupled with SentinelOne’s continued leadership in the MITRE ATT&CK Framework evaluation for efficacy, position SentinelOne as a clear choice for safeguarding endpoints.

Purple AI: As a pioneer in applying AI to cybersecurity, SentinelOne has seamlessly integrated Purple AI across the Singularity Platform to enhance business efficiency and protection. Purple AI, currently in Beta, is expected to be generally available in Q1 2024. It aims to significantly reduce investigation and resolution times through natural language translation, summarization, recommended queries and actions, and automated investigations.

Ric Smith summarized the significance of the Unity Release, stating, “The updates we are announcing today will help security teams break down silos, gain enterprise-wide visibility and control, action their data in real-time, and ultimately, make their organizations more secure.” SentinelOne’s Unity Release promises a smooth, integrated experience that leverages the power of AI to safeguard the entire enterprise.
