Shure has introduced the MXA925 Ceiling Array Microphone, expanding its Microflex Advance portfolio with a flagship solution designed for high-quality audio performance in challenging acoustic environments. Shure also announced a firmware update for the MXA901 Ceiling Array Microphone, adding expanded audio capture, flexibility, and control for meeting rooms of different sizes.

The launch comes as organisations across the Middle East and Africa invest in smarter meeting environments, hybrid collaboration spaces, and AI-supported workplace tools. These environments depend on clear and reliable audio capture. In addition, Shure is marking 10 years of its MXA portfolio, continuing to focus on improved array technology, simplified AV installation, enhanced security, and remote management for enterprise users.

Shure said the MXA925 Ceiling Array Microphone features a new processing platform that becomes smarter over time. It includes AI-enabled IntelliMix DSP for consistent audio capture and intelligibility across different acoustic environments. As a result, meeting audio becomes clearer, even in complex rooms where speech is often difficult to hear.

Moreover, the system includes AI Acoustic Echo Cancellation, AI Denoiser, and AI Deverb. These features help reduce echo, reverberation, and background noise such as keyboards and pen clicks. Consequently, the microphone delivers improved performance in real-world meeting conditions.

Shure stated that these AI-trained features work out of the box for faster deployment and standardisation across meeting spaces. Furthermore, ongoing firmware updates are designed to improve performance over time and protect customer investment as algorithms evolve.

Evan Groom, Global Product Manager at Shure, said innovation is a continuous refinement process. He added that the MXA925 builds on existing Microflex Advance capabilities while introducing AI-enabled processing to improve performance in difficult acoustic environments.

In addition, the MXA925 integrates into IT workflows with enhanced security through dual RJ45 network connectivity. It also supports remote device management, real-time monitoring, and firmware updates via ShureCloud.

Across MEA, organisations are prioritising scalable and reliable collaboration tools. According to Yassine Mannai, Associate Sales Director at Shure MEA, customers want solutions that are easy to deploy and adaptable to evolving meeting needs. He noted that Shure is helping organisations ensure every voice is captured clearly in both simple and complex rooms.

The MXA925 is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom. It is designed to support AI-powered collaboration tools such as Copilot and AI Companion. These tools are increasingly used for transcription, meeting summaries, and hybrid workflows in enterprise, government, and education sectors.

Meanwhile, industry data highlights rapid AI adoption in enterprise environments. Gartner projects global AI spending to reach USD 2.59 trillion in 2026. Microsoft’s 2026 Work Trend Index also found that 49 percent of Microsoft 365 Copilot conversations support cognitive work, including analysis, problem-solving, evaluation, and creative thinking.

As AI becomes more integrated into workplace platforms, clear audio capture is becoming essential for accurate transcription and real-time collaboration features. Therefore, demand for advanced meeting room audio solutions continues to grow.

Shure also expanded the MXA901 Ceiling Array Microphone through firmware update v6.9. The update adds improved support for voice lift applications via discrete outputs in Steerable Coverage mode. It also enhances camera tracking through the Optimize Tracking feature.

Additionally, it introduces new Automixer and Speech Gating Threshold controls. A fully flexible single Automatic Coverage zone is also included to improve speech performance in demanding rooms. These updates allow existing installations to support new room designs without additional hardware upgrades.

From the MXA910 in 2016 to the MXA925 today, and the MXA320, the MXA portfolio continues to evolve. Shure said its approach remains focused on listening to customers and improving performance over time.

Sam Sabet, Chief Technology Officer at Shure, said the priority is reliable and consistent audio performance across changing environments and requirements.

MXA925, updated MXA901, and MXA320 will be showcased at InfoComm 2026 from June 17 to 19. The company will exhibit in Central Hall at Booth C9018.

Finally, Shure continues to advance AI-enabled audio and meeting room technologies for modern collaboration environments.
