Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company, hosted its flagship Data for Breakfast event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event took place at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel & Convention and brought together technology leaders, data professionals, and innovators from across the Kingdom.

Attendees explored how businesses can use the AI Data Cloud to maximize the value of their data. The Snowflake platform enables organizations to activate data across lakehouses, mesh architectures, and warehouses. A keynote highlighted the power of the AI Data Cloud, followed by sessions from customers O3ai and Foodics.

O3ai is a smart factory platform. Foodics is a cloud-based restaurant management and POS solution. Both shared real-world use cases demonstrating how Snowflake helps them manage and scale data. A live demo showcased the platform’s performance, scalability, and ease of use.

According to PwC, 81% of CEOs in Saudi Arabia adopted AI in the past year. The sessions emphasized that data is the foundation for building strong, outcome-driven AI strategies.

Snowflake is also investing in the Kingdom. The company has established a regional headquarters and deployed a local cloud. These efforts support data sovereignty and align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Mohamed Zouari, General Manager for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa at Snowflake, said the company is committed to helping organizations scale AI use cases with secure, governed data strategies. He added that the AI Data Cloud enables businesses to move from strategy to execution and unlock measurable ROI.

Mohamed Abuobaida, VP of Data at Foodics, highlighted the impact of Snowflake on the F&B industry. He said that being able to act on data in real-time is a game changer. Snowflake allows Foodics to unify its data and deliver insights that enhance customer experiences and drive innovation.

Snowflake research shows that 93% of enterprises in Saudi Arabia report success with generative AI initiatives. The country’s $100 billion AI strategy aims to establish global leadership in technology. This is supported by strong digital infrastructure and an innovation-focused vision.

To support talent development, Snowflake launched the One Million Minds program in Saudi Arabia. This initiative offers advanced AI training to professionals, helping build a future-ready workforce.
