The UAE made a strong impression at VivaTech 2025, Europe’s largest technology exhibition held in Paris. The country shifted from symbolic presence to an active display of soft power and innovation.

A wide range of UAE-based startups and tech projects participated in the event. They demonstrated expertise in fields such as robotics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and smart wearables. Their presence highlighted the UAE’s rapidly developing tech ecosystem.

One of the key attractions was a self-driving motorcycle exhibited by Dubai-based firm RoboHitech. The vehicle, developed by founder Muhammad Al Shamsi, appeared to be conventional but revealed itself as an autonomous innovation. It drew significant media and public attention.

Al Shamsi told the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the vehicle is not just a demonstration. He explained it offers practical applications in sectors such as:

  • Urban mobility
  • Security
  • Logistics

He also emphasized that the UAE’s innovation environment played a vital role in the development. “What we’ve achieved today wouldn’t have been possible without the enabling ecosystem in the UAE,” he said.

He added that innovation thrives where leadership supports science and empowers youth. The project reflects the UAE’s larger vision of preparing for the future through technology.

The UAE’s participation in VivaTech 2025 underscored its commitment to becoming a global innovation hub. It also highlighted national efforts to empower young talent and entrepreneurs in emerging tech sectors.
