VAD Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with Nextcloud, the global content collaboration and digital workspace platform. The collaboration aims to support governments and enterprises across the Middle East with secure, compliant, and data-sovereign digital workplace solutions.

Through the partnership, VAD Technologies will expand the regional availability of Nextcloud’s enterprise collaboration platform. Key sectors targeted include the public sector, banking and financial services, insurance, and telecommunications—industries where data privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience are critical.

Leveraging its ecosystem of more than 1,400 channel partners across the Middle East and North Africa, VAD Technologies reported that the partnership will empower system integrators, value-added resellers, managed service providers, and cloud solution providers. Together, they will deliver Nextcloud’s digital workspace platform to enterprises and government entities, while ensuring full ownership and control of data.

Data sovereignty and regulatory compliance remain top priorities in the GCC. Nextcloud’s platform allows customers to host their digital workplace in private cloud environments, either on-premises or with trusted local hosting partners. For sensitive and mission-critical workloads, Nextcloud can also be deployed in air-gapped environments, physically isolated from external networks for maximum security.

VAD Technologies highlighted that its channel partners benefit from its expertise across data center infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, and enterprise software, supported by pre-sales engagement, technical enablement, professional services, and flexible financial models.

Mario M. Veljovic, General Manager of VAD Technologies, said, “We are proud to bring Nextcloud’s secure and open digital collaboration platform to organizations across the Middle East. With increasing regulatory requirements and a strong focus on data residency, Nextcloud aligns perfectly with the needs of governments and enterprises in the region.”

Frank Karlitschek, CEO and Founder of Nextcloud, revealed, “Demand for secure and sovereign collaboration platforms is growing globally, and the Middle East is a key strategic region for us. VAD Technologies brings regional expertise and a proven partner ecosystem, enabling organizations to adopt digital workspaces while retaining full control over their data.”

Nextcloud’s digital workspace allows users to securely edit and share documents, collaborate in real time, communicate via chat and video conferencing, and manage emails, calendars, and contacts. The platform integrates with existing IT infrastructure and delivers AI-enabled features without compromising data confidentiality.

The platform is available in around 100 languages, including Arabic with right-to-left support, ensuring a user-friendly experience for organizations across the Middle East.
