Veeam and Microsoft Expand AI-Driven Data Protection Partnership

Veeam® Software has announced an expanded partnership with Microsoft, including a Microsoft equity investment in Veeam, to build AI solutions that enhance data protection, recovery, and value extraction for customers. With 77% of the Fortune 500 and 67% of the Global 2000 relying on Veeam to safeguard their data from cyber-attacks, outages, and disasters, this new integration of Microsoft AI into Veeam’s data resilience platform aims to provide faster insights, smarter threat detection, and more automated recovery. The collaboration ensures data remains secure, available, and reliable, helping organizations overcome challenges in data protection.

Veeam’s integration with Microsoft AI will drive innovation in data resilience, focusing on research, development, and architectural collaboration to enhance machine learning (ML) capabilities. Key areas of focus include Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365, which protects over 23.5 million users, Veeam Data Cloud Vault for secure offsite backups in Microsoft Azure, and new Entra ID Solutions to strengthen identity security for cloud-first organizations. These AI-powered features will help organizations detect suspicious activity before escalation, identify backup vulnerabilities, automate compliance reporting, and accelerate data restores for faster business recovery.
