Veeam Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, announced that Veeam’s Securiti AI has been named a Leader and Fast Mover in the 2026 GigaOm Radar for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).

The recognition marks the third consecutive year that Veeam Software has been named a Leader in the report. Additionally, the company achieved the highest overall scores across Key Features, Emerging Features, and Business Criteria.

This year, GigaOm evaluated 25 DSPM vendors, compared to 14 vendors in the previous edition. The report examined the growing challenges organizations face in understanding their data, including shadow data repositories and the increasing risks associated with AI assistants and custom-built AI models.

Across the expanded field, Veeam’s Securiti AI received the highest scores on every scoring axis. The platform scored 4.8 out of 5 for Key Features, 4.7 for Emerging Features, and 4.8 for Business Criteria.

Furthermore, GigaOm highlighted several strengths of Veeam’s Securiti AI. These include data lineage capabilities that provide visibility into how data flows and transforms across systems. The platform captures lineage across both structured and unstructured environments.

In addition, the report recognized the solution’s incident response and impact analytics capabilities. These features help organizations assess data exposure during a breach and identify potentially affected downstream systems.

The report also noted strong support for on-premises repositories. The platform provides coverage across on-premises file shares, enterprise content systems, and databases while maintaining feature parity with cloud environments.

Moreover, GigaOm placed Veeam’s Securiti AI in the Innovation/Platform Play quadrant of the Radar. The report highlighted the platform’s Data Command Graph for lineage and incident response, multilayered AI security firewalls that protect prompt, retrieval, and response layers, and the Identity-Data Graph for governing non-human identities such as service accounts, API keys, and bot identities.

According to the report, the solution is well suited for larger and more complex environments. It offers unified visibility across sanctioned AI models, shadow AI tools, copilots, vector databases, and custom pipelines.

“An agentic agent is only as trustworthy as the data it can access and act on. Veeam enables you to understand all your structured and unstructured data so you can secure it, govern it, and ensure its resilient,” said Rehan Jalil, President, Products & Technology at Veeam.

“As illustrated in the GigaOm report, Securiti AI delivers the industry’s most advanced DSPM capabilities with its Data Command Graph providing a contextual engine that continuously maps relationships across all your data, identities, policies, and AI systems. This shared intelligence layer transforms fragmented tools into a single control pane for your data and AI,” he added.

Meanwhile, GigaOm Analyst Paul Stringfellow said that Securiti Data Command Center provides a centralized solution that enables the safe use of data and generative AI for customers.

“It provides insights into data discovery and classification; data access governance; configuration risk management; minimizing redundant, obsolete, and trivial (ROT) data; AI security; compliance automation; and breach management,” Stringfellow stated.

With this latest recognition, Veeam Software further strengthens its position in the DSPM market, highlighting its focus on AI security, data governance, compliance automation, and enterprise-wide data visibility.
