Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions company, announced that its Chinese subsidiary has acquired key assets and technologies from BiXin Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. (BSE), a renowned manufacturer of chillers, heat pumps, heat-recovery solutions, and air-handling units.

This acquisition strengthens Vertiv’s chiller family, enhancing its global portfolio of technologies designed to support high-performance compute and AI applications. BSE, founded in 2010, brings to Vertiv a strong presence in the Chinese market and across Asia, along with industry patents, advanced technologies, and extensive research and development capabilities that will bolster Vertiv’s global offering.

BSE’s core products include oil-free, magnetic-bearing centrifugal water-cooled and air-cooled chillers featuring pumped-refrigerant-economization technology. These products offer cooling capacities up to 5.5 MW and are recognized for their efficiency, low maintenance, quiet operation, and reliability. As a leader in centrifugal technology in Asia, BSE’s solutions align well with Vertiv’s mission to provide cutting-edge infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing.

Giordano Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv, commented on the acquisition: “This acquisition supports our capital allocation strategy by adding early-stage technologies to our portfolio. BSE’s products complement Vertiv’s existing chiller solutions, helping us meet the growing demand for air and liquid cooling in the high-performance compute and AI sectors.”

Vertiv began collaborating with BSE in early 2024, partnering to manufacture Vertiv-branded products for customers across China and Asia. BSE’s products are certified by the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA). The company is also a China High and New-Technology Enterprise.

York Zha, CEO of BSE, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: “We’ve enjoyed an outstanding partnership with Vertiv and are excited to officially join the company. Combining our portfolio with Vertiv’s will enable us to offer highly efficient and reliable chiller, heat-recovery, and reuse solutions to data center customers globally.”

This acquisition further enhances Vertiv’s ability to meet the growing demand for advanced cooling solutions in critical digital infrastructure worldwide.
