Western Digital, a hard disk drives (HDDs) company, showcased its advanced data storage solutions at Intersec 2025, highlighting its powerful offerings for enterprise-class surveillance systems, hyperscalers, and cloud providers. The company demonstrated how its innovative products are raising the bar for capacity, performance, and efficiency in modern data storage, particularly for AI-enabled video surveillance systems that send high-definition video, picture files, and metadata to storage.

“At Western Digital, we are proud to show that HDDs provide much more than just storage,” said Mohammed Owais, Sales Director, Middle East at Western Digital. “Intersec 2025 offered a great opportunity to highlight how our products help businesses optimize their IT infrastructure, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and future-proof data strategies. Through interactive displays and Augmented Reality (AR), we gave guests hands-on experiences with our HDDs and proprietary technologies like ArcticFlow™ and IsoVibe™.”

Western Digital celebrated the 10th anniversary of its WD Purple series with an exclusive preview of the WD Purple Pro 26TB1. Designed specifically for video surveillance and security systems, this next-generation HDD delivers unmatched CMR capacity for video analytics servers, AI, and deep learning systems. The company also featured the Ultrastar DC HC690, a data center HDD with up to 32TB1, which supports cost-effective deep content storage at scale. This world-first 11-disk HDD offers superior storage capacity while maintaining the same physical footprint, reducing power consumption, and lowering TCO.

In addition, Western Digital showcased the Ultrastar Data60 Hybrid Storage JBOD Platform, with a raw storage capacity of up to 1.56PB1. Designed for next-generation disaggregated storage and software-defined storage (SDS) infrastructures, the platform was demonstrated with a live connection to a UK lab, showing real-time deployment of the solution.

Western Digital’s participation in Intersec 2025 reinforced its commitment to providing innovative and scalable data storage solutions that help businesses optimize their IT strategies and stay ahead in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
