The esteemed Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the United Arab Emirates’ Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, graced the sixth and most expansive UMEX and SimTEX event in Abu Dhabi, held under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The event took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition, featuring 214 companies from 35 countries.
Welcoming him were His Excellency Major General Mubarak Saeed bin Gafan Al Jabri, Chairperson of the Higher Organising Committee for UMEX and SimTEX, alongside Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director & Group CEO of ADNEC Group.
Throughout his attendance at these exhibitions, His Excellency embarked on a tour across the pavilions of both national and international exhibitors. He was introduced to the latest advancements in unmanned systems, simulation, and training technologies, and their diverse applications across defense, civil, and humanitarian sectors.
His Excellency lauded the advancements in unmanned systems and related technologies showcased by UAE’s institutions and companies, highlighting the significant progress the UAE has made in the unmanned systems domain. This sector now plays a crucial role across various aspects of life and contributes significantly to humanitarian efforts.
His Highness also commended the international representation at the sixth UMEX and SimTEX editions, organized by ADNEC Group in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defense and strategic partner EDGE Group.
This edition marked the largest in the history of UMEX and SimTEX, expanding its exhibition space to 30,000 square meters, a notable increase from 2022’s 26,200 square meters.
Highlighting the event were five new initiatives: the Ministry of Defence Coding Challenge Competition, the UMEX Commercial Zone, inaugural Live Demonstrations at the ADNEC Grandstand and Marina Channel, UMEX Next_Gen, and UMEX Talks.
