TIER, Europe’s top shared micromobility provider, has launched the TIER V scooter, its next-generation e-scooter, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The launch of the new e-scooters is in keeping with the UAE’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050, and it will debut at the Hypermotion event, which will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Center during EXPO 2020.
Visitors will be able to try out the new scooter, as well as TIER’s e-bike and e-moped, and learn more about TIER’s Energy Network system from November 2nd to 4th. Your Majesty Sheikh Ahmed was present for the debut of TIER Mobility’s newest e-scooter in the UAE, which took place during the Hypermotion EXPO 2020 e-scooter show.
Commenting on the event, Josue Paulos, Show Director, Hypermotion Dubai, shared “The Mobility Park at Hypermotion Dubai will present the ideal platform for visitors to experience first-hand the latest in sustainable, net zero, micromobility that will be a staple in future smart urban environments. We are excited for TIER to launch their latest, state-of-the-art line-up of e-scooters in the UAE where users will have the opportunity to test them at the Hypermotion event.”
The new scooter model is designed for frequent urban use and has a 5-year service life, but it practically has an indefinite lifespan due to its modular, interchangeable, and repairable components. Three advanced safety features are three separate brakes, gripping handlebars, wide, huge tyres, and an especially bright light. Turn indicators provide 360° visibility and guarantee that motorcyclists can safely demonstrate their intended actions. TIER riders can expect to see the new e-scooters in all of Dubai’s main places during the coming few days.

Residents of the UAE will have the opportunity to visit the TIER Mobility Park, and test out the latest e-scooter on a specially designed mobility track at the Hypermotion event. Hypermotion at Expo 2020 Dubai will explore innovative concepts transforming logistics, freight, and mobility in the Middle East and Africa. This event will be hosted for the first time outside of Europe, in Dubai, the world’s most innovative and future-focused city.
Based on feedback from cities and users, Europe’s largest shared micro-mobility provider continues to refine models and improve features to better the whole experience while lowering emissions. TIER’s scooters have ridden more than 1.3 million kilometres in Dubai since their inception under the RTA’s auspices, saving more than 18,500 kg of CO2 in just one year and contributing to a more sustainable lifestyle and improving the environment.
TIER’s recent additions to its e-scooter, including indication lights on the steering bar and back fender that clearly communicate the rider’s direction to other road users, solidifying the company’s position as an industry innovator and the most sustainable and safe operator. This is in addition to TIER’s existing safety features, which include the industry’s largest front wheel, a wider foot pad, dual suspension, a double kick-stand, and dual drum brakes for steady riding on uneven surfaces and situations.
