Middle East Airlines (MEA) has agreed to join the Skywise Health Monitoring (SHM) user community. The long-time Airbus customer will be the 50th airline to use this cutting-edge solution to improve fleet maintenance. SHM will assist the airline’s maintenance and engineering staff by allowing real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of aircraft incidents.
SHM collects and centralizes warnings, flight-deck effects, maintenance messages, and other data using the Skywise aviation data platform, prioritizes them, and correlates any errors with the appropriate troubleshooting methods. It also emphasizes operational implications and offers the system’s maintenance history (from the logbook and MIS data gathered through Skywise Core and saved in the data lake), allowing for effective alarm tracing. It can also assist airlines in anticipating and planning for the availability of tools and components closest to the aircraft.
MEA plans to implement the solution throughout its whole fleet. The airline is situated in Beirut and operates an all-Airbus fleet of A320 and A330 Family aircraft.
Airbus’ SHM helps airlines save time and money on unscheduled maintenance. SHM also integrates with Skywise Predictive Maintenance (SPM) and Skywise Reliability (SR) to give users a more seamless experience. It’s also poised to take advantage of the new onboard Flight Operations and Maintenance Exchanger (“FOMAX”) data router’s tremendous capabilities, which can gather and record over 24,000 real-time aircraft parameters for later study.
