Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is set to launch its first-ever Saudi Arabia Innovation Summit 2023 on June 13-14 in Riyadh. The event, attended by more than 5,000 registered participants, aims to explore the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The summit will feature Schneider Electric’s Global Chairman, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, demonstrating the company’s recognition of the growing importance of Saudi Arabia on the world stage. Building on the success of the Middle East Innovation Summit 2022, which convened over 3,700 delegates, the Saudi Arabia Innovation Summit 2023 seeks to create an open platform for dialogue on achieving a sustainable future through digital advancements.
Mohammed Shaheen, Schneider Electric’s Cluster President for Saudi Arabia and Yemen, expressed excitement about the summit, stating, “We will come together as a collective force, united in our pursuit of a more sustainable future for Saudi Arabia and beyond.” He emphasized the urgent need to embrace digitization and highlighted the existing tools and technologies that can drive the transition to digital, electric energy.
Schneider Electric will leverage the summit to expand its investment footprint in the Kingdom, further strengthening its commitment to Saudi Arabia. The company recently introduced electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to support the nation’s ambitious goal of manufacturing 150,000 electric cars. Additionally, Schneider Electric welcomed 22 Saudi graduates, with a significant representation of women, onto its Early Career Program, contributing to youth empowerment in the private sector.
The Saudi Arabia Innovation Summit 2023 will serve as a catalyst for Schneider Electric, its customers, and partners to collaborate, explore innovative solutions, and take decisive action. The event will feature an extensive technology showcase, offering opportunities for efficiency enhancement, cost reduction, and the pursuit of sustainability goals.
Under the theme “Innovations for a Sustainable World,” the summit will address the pressing climate crisis and emphasize the importance of embracing digitization and electrification for Saudi Arabia’s competitiveness and socioeconomic progress. Schneider Electric aims to foster a robust ecosystem of innovation and sustainability across homes, buildings, data centers, industry, and infrastructure.
